KEDDY, Douglas Arthur "Doug" - age 89 of North Kingston, NS passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in North Kingston, he was a son of the late Michael and Alice (Lantz) Keddy. Doug was a retired farmer who still enjoyed watching the day to day operations on the family farm. He loved playing cards and enjoyed going to dances. Doug was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years the former Hope Foster; his sons, David (Darlene) Keddy; Richard (Vicky) Keddy both of North Kingston; Gary (Sandra) Keddy, Coldbrook; Allen Keddy, Edmonton, AB; Wayne Keddy; Eldon Keddy both of North Kingston and 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son James "Jimmie"; his sisters Beatrice and Evelyn and his brothers Randolph, Malcolm, George and Curtis. Visitation will be held 7:00PM-9:00PM Sunday, November 16, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where a funeral service will be held 2:00PM Monday, November 17, 2014 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Private family interment will be in the North Kingston Cemetery.
