COMEAU, Douglas William "Doug" ~ age 85 of Berwick, NS passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Bridgetown, NS he was a son of the late Douglas and Ruth (Mader) Comeau. Doug retired, with the rank of Major, after 31 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He had 17 transfers in the military and a few more following. Doug is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara (Fletcher), Kingston; sons, Douglas "Brent" (Catherine) Comeau, Frankford, ON; Fletcher Lee Comeau, Halifax; Trevor John Comeau, North Bay, ON; granddaughters, Katelyn Comeau, Ottawa, ON and Jaclyn Comeau, Frankford, ON. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by all his brothers and sisters. In keeping with Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448 with Postulant Wade Seymour officiating.
