FEENER, Douglas Ernest - age 82 of New Albany/ Nictaux, NS passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in New Albany, NS he was a son of the late Ernest and Emma (Varner) Feener. Doug was a school bus driver for 25 years and in earlier years worked for Port Royal Dairy and Twin Cities Dairy doing door- to-door milk delivery. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper and truly enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Nancy) Feener, Nictaux; Gregory (Shelley) Feener, Beaverbank; will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joan Montgomery and their children Marissa, Harold and Lance Feener; his sister, Shirley (Jack) Sommers, Eastern Passage; his brothers, Ronald Feener, New Albany; Roy (Etta) Feener, Dartmouth and grandchildren, Jillian Feener and Cara Feener (Evan MacNutt)and sisters-in-law Dianne and Anne. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Verna Whynot; Ruby Embrett; Joan Gaul; brothers, Carl, Cecil, James, Mervin, and a brother in infancy. In keeping with Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev.
