MARSHALL, Douglas Buckler - 68 of Wilmot, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Douglas and Elizabeth Joyce (Buckler) Marshall. Doug attended school in Middleton, was an avid bowler and enjoyed all sports. He also enjoyed travelling, especially going on cruises. Doug retired in 2005 after 39 years of serving the people in the oil business. He is survived by his wife, the former Anita "Boo" Worthen, Wilmot; step daughter, Debora (Roy) Dzikowski, Dryden, ON; step son, Al Hamel (Tracey), Sooke, BC; sisters, Janet (David) Knickle, Charlottetown, PE and Barbara Hoffman, St. George, NB; brother, Donald (Denise) Marshall, St. Stephen, NB, step grandchildren, Lynda, Jennifer, Melissa, Nicole; 8 step great grandchildren and many loyal and dedicated friends. He was predeceased by his parents. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4PM and 7-9 PM Monday, May 20 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 where the memorial service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, May 21 2013 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Private family interment will be in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery. Donations in memory of Doug may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
