Douglas Arthur Murray, 89, of Kingston, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully Monday 30 October 2017, at the Soldier's Memorial Hospital in Middleton, NS surrounded by family. He was a member of the Oxford Presbyterian Church. Born in Roslin NS, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Florence (Black) Murray. He worked for CN Rail for 30 years and retired in 1985 as the supervisor for signal maintenance in Edmundston New Brunswick. He was an avid curler and served as the president of the Edmundston Curling Club during the 1970s. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved spending summers at his cottage on Brule Point near Tatamagouche NS. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary-Lou (Downs) Murray, sons Dayle (Wanda) of Burton NB, David (Pamela) of Bridgetown NS, Michael (Anita) of Ottawa ON and his daughter Wendy (Ray) Veley of Greenwood NS. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving sibling of his generation of the Murray family. He was predeceased by sisters Erma, Gladys and Hazel and brothers Vaughn and Angus.
