Obituary

Marshall, Earl (Wayne) – 83, of Nictaux, sadly passed away December 20th, 2024 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born June 17, 1941, in Bridgetown, he was the son of the late Earl and Exilda (Arsenault) Marshall. Wayne was the husband of the late Carol Lee (Smith).

Wayne was the loving father of daughter, Joellen (Kurtis) Short, Aylesford; and sons Terry (Sandee) Marshall and Eric Marshall, Nictaux; beloved Grampy to Grandchildren Hali and Jameson, Aylesford; and Brandon, Nathan and Carley, Nictaux.

Wayne is survived by brother Dwight, Bridgetown. He is predeceased by son, Dwayne; brothers, Roland, Russell; sisters, Phyllis Bent, Irene Patriquin.

Wayne, formerly of Wayne Marshall's Plumbing and Heating, together with his wife, laid a strong foundation for their family and built an incredible network of clients who became lifelong friends throughout the valley. Known for his quick wit, Wayne always had a story to tell or a laugh to share. In his younger years, he created fond memories by crafting lyrics or jokes that fit together like puzzle pieces, playing a quick jig on his harmonica or accordion, whittling dancing men or whooping sticks, as well as the laugh provoking wiggling of his ears.

Wayne's kind, generous, and accepting nature, will remain a lasting inspiration for us all to embody. Even in his final days, his smile, the "I love you's", and his strength were the lasting marks he left behind. The strength that guided him through life now lives on in his children and grandchildren as they carry forward his legacy of resilience, and supporting others.

Cremation has taken place. All are welcome to attend a graveside service for Wayne and Carol that will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, in Nictaux Cemetery, with Rev.
