DONDALE, Edith Marie - 78yrs, of South Williamston, NS passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2013 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born on Gates Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Doran and Lavine (Sweet) Crouse. Edith loved square dancing with Karl and lived a very simple life and worked right alongside her husband on the farm. She enjoyed going to bingo, card parties with her neighbours and for many years worked in the Legion Canteen at the exhibition grounds. In Edith's earlier years she worked at the Middleton Dry Cleaners and was a waitress at Harold's Diner, Kingston. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Dondale, South Williamston; her sister, Alma (Lewis) Bent, Carleton Corner; her brothers, Arthur (Debbie) Crouse, Lloydminster, AB; Earl (Linda) Crouse, Flin Flon, MB; Alfred (Etta) Crouse, Lawrencetown; Reginald (Phyllis) Crouse, Victoria Vale; Melbourne (Judy) Crouse, English Mountain and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Karl and infant sister and brother. Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations in Edith's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia or Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
