HARDIMAN, Edith Maria age 82 passed away peacefully with family by her side, Thursday, April 17, 2014 after a long courageous battle with cancer in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Boxey, Newfoundland 17 Nov 1931, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Lucy Blagdon. Edith was an avid bingo player and thoroughly enjoyed a good game of cards. She idolized her children and grandchildren. She is survived by daughters; Judy Hardiman, Greenwood, Cindy (Gordon) Hunt, Lower Sackville, Bonnie Hardiman, Greenwood, Angie Hardiman, Sydney. Sons; Doug (Anne) Hardiman, Bridgewater, Kenneth (Shelley), Spirit River, Alberta, Corey Hardiman, Middleton and sister Bessie (Onslow) Blagdon, Greenwood; grandchildren Lori (Phil) Zacharias, Lisa Hunt, Brittany Hardiman, Meghan Hardiman, Robbie Hardiman, Dante Hardiman; great grandchild Olivia Zacharias as well as "Cuddles" her constant companion. She was predeceased by husband Wilson, step-mother Annie Sheppard, brother Jerry; step-brothers Charles Jim Sheppard, Jim Henry Blagdon, Dick Price and half-brother Charles John Blagdon; step sisters Tryphena Blagdon and Harriet Strowbridge. Cremation has taken place and at Edith's request, there will not be a funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home Ltd. 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
