Herrick, Edith Luella - "Edie" age 76, of Kingston, Kings Co. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren on Monday, May 4, 2015. Born in Litchfield, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Ruth Sproule. From a very early age, Edie wanted to travel and experience the world. This led her to join the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Teletype Operator in April of 1957 and very quickly she found herself stationed in Grostenquin, France. It was there that she met her sweetheart and the love of her life, Sandy. The two were married in late 1961 and began their family with two daughters. Upon returning to Canada in 1963, they added two sons. Edie was whole-heartedly devoted to her husband and raising their four children. Her untiring commitment to family values continued with her 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was their ever-present cheerleader! She attended hundreds of sporting events, encouraged and instructed them in their artistic pursuits, and supported and applauded them throughout all their educational and life achievements. In the latter part of her life, Edie found her passion in golf, as an avid member of the nine-hole women's club at Paragon Golf and Country Club. Edie is survived by her husband Sandy; two daughters, Christine (Jerry) Daniels, Bridgewater, Michelle (Renaud) Moreau, Kingston; and two sons, Greg (Donna) and Mike (Lori) Herrick, Calgary AB; granddaughters, Tanya, Jessica, Caitlin, Sarah, Amelia, Emily; and grandsons, Adam, Jason, Joshua, Keagan, Caleb, and Benjamin; and her brother, Malcolm.
