MACMURTERY, Edith May-98 of Margaretsville, passed away, Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the Heart of the Valley LTC, Middleton. Born in Mosher's Corner she was a daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Ward) Bent. Edith was a member of the Margaretsville United Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword and lexicon puzzles and gardening. Edith dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by daughter, Wyona (Richard) Ouellette, Lawrencetown; son, David (Valerie) Clarke, Wilmot, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland MacMurtery and brothers, Joe and Lester Bent. Visiting will be held 2-4 and 7-9PM, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Donations in memory may be made to Soldiers Memorial Hospital or Charity of Choice.
