GREENE, Edna Mae of Nictaux passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the age of 93. Born March 5, 1931 to the late Joseph "Otto" Payzant and Hazel Katherine (Shankel) Payzant. She attended the local schools and then went off to Normal College from where she graduated with her teaching certificate in 1952. She married Leonard Greene in 1969 and they spent 51 wonderful years together prior to his death in 2020. She is survived by sister Carolyn Conrad, Harmony; brother Elliot Payzant, Albany New; and foster sister Angelia (Cunningham) Smith (Johnny), Toronto; stepson Donald (Janet) Himmelman, Eagle Head; granddaughter Breah Himmelman, Halifax; grandson Garrett Himmelman, Eagle Head; great granddaughter Scarlet Himmelman; nieces, Janet Rowter (Dwayne), Shelley Conrad, Alexi Payzant; nephews Brian Conrad, Wade Conrad (Kaffy), Carroll Conrad (Wanda), Derrick Conrad (Sheena), Ethan Payzant (Jennifer); eight great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers-in-law Chester Conrad, Walter Greene, sisters-in-law Dawn Payzant, Earline (Greene) Sperry, and Daisy Greene. The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448. Rev. Jeff Milne officiating.  Reception to follow the service.
