Obituary

BENNETT, Edward Atwood Eddie-57, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 in the VG Site, QEII Health Sciences, Halifax. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Albert and Freda (Brooks) Bennett. Eddie was a lifelong resident of the Annapolis Valley. He was self employed for many years and was known as a hardworking, reliable handyman. Eddie leaves his handprint on the hearts of many. Eddie's commitment to life betterment earned him the respect and love of a large supportive family. As a follower of Bill W., Eddie successfully walked his road to recovery. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Darlene Llewellyn, Greenwood; sisters, Rose (Mervin) Budgell, Newfoundland; Shirley (Paul) Caldwell, Lawrencetown; Susan (Avon) Mapplebeck, Nictaux; Donna (Bob) Seebold, Bridgewater; Sheila (Mark) Levy, Pictou Co. ; brothers, Danny (Marilyn) Bennett, Nictaux; Orrin Bennett, Middleton; Mervin Vidito, Nictaux Falls; nieces, Barb, Emily, Marla, Gyna, Amanda, Rycha, Patricia, Elizabeth, Dianna; nephews, Stephen, Albert, P.J., Daniel and James. He was predeceased by sister, Debbie, in infancy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2:00 to 4:00PM and 7:00 to 9:00PM, Monday, August 30, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. A Celebration of Eddies life will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, August 31, 2010, in the Kingston Baptist Church, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.
