Williams, Edward Langille – 72 of Wolfville, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, after living in Evergreen Home for Special Care for several years. Born in Shelburne County, he was a son of the late Langille Sylvester and Rena Alveretta (Lewis) Williams.
Ed graduated from Acadia University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science and again in 1980 with a Bachelor of Computer Science. Ed worked his entire career with the Department of Health, Alberta. Upon retiring, he returned to Nova Scotia to assist in caring for his ailing mother. Ed was an avid stamp collector and was a member of Edmonton’s Stamp Collector’s Club and the Valley Stamp Club in Kentville. He had a love of home cooking including homemade cheese pizza in his younger years, but he also loved Chinese food.
Surviving are his siblings, Cynthia, Elizabeth, Phyllis, Barry, Karen, Jeffrey, and Paul; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Roger.
In keeping with Ed’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside interment will take place in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne. Donations in Ed’s memory may be made to Lambs Way Chapel, Wolfville, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne.
