BANKS, Edwin Hubert – age 80 of Cole Harbour passed away Friday, February 8th, 2019 at the QE II, V.G. Site, Halifax. Born in South Farmington, Annapolis County, he was a son of the late Ernest and Grace (Rice) Banks. Edwin retired from the Federal Government in 1988 having been employed as a prison guard, fire fighter and safety officer. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, but now enjoys playing in his workshop doing woodwork as well as spending time at his summer home in Maitland, Lunenburg Co. and spending time with his family. Edwin is survived by his daughter Vicki Banks, Dartmouth; his son Glenn Banks, Moncton and grandsons, Zachary Cameron and Hayden Banks. He was predeceased by brothers Ernest and Robert. By request, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family graveside service in the North Kingston Cemetery at a later date.
