PASSES AWAY AT AGE 100

FORSYTH (Ritcey Haase), Elaine Doris ~ of Middleton, formerly of Nictaux, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully in her 101 ^st . year in Wolfville Nursing Home, Wolfville, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Born on January 18, 1919, in Mahone Bay, she was a daughter of the late J. Norman and Jennie M. (Lightizer) Ritcey. Elaine was a charter member of Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Myrtle Rebekah Lodge, No. 46, Middleton, holding various offices in the lodge over the years. Elaine had been a member of St. John's United Church, Middleton, and an adherent of Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Middleton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Haase, Halifax; son, Robert (the late Dianne) Haase, Dartmouth; son-in-law, Jim Norton, Berwick; grandchildren, Michael, Chris, Christopher, Dafyd and Tracey; several great grandchildren; step children, Gregory, Hal and Janice; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Rudy J. Haase; second husband, Lawrence Forsyth; daughter, Shirley Norton; sisters, Anna  in infancy, Kathleen (William) Brownell, Eleanor (H.L.) Woodman and Shirley Smith; brothers, Donald (Frances) and Walter (Mary Ellen) Ritcey. There will be no visitation. Rebekah Lodge tribute and memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 24, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Rev.
