She was born in Belfast, Ireland to Effie and John Ferguson on Sept 5th 1930. She married our dad in 1952 and came to Canada to start a life as an Army wife and mother. She is survived by her children, Violet Parisien, Catherine Eary, Colleen Spinney (Vernon), Deborah Prall (Peter), Annita White (Greg) and her only son David Eary (Eduardo). Mom is predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Jackie and David and son in law Edward Parisien. Mom, known as Betty worked many years at the Base Club Capri, Tasty Twirl and the Sub Shop. If you remember that was way back in the 70's and 80's. Mom had a beautiful smile and an Irish twinkle in her eyes. Mom also enjoyed her Bingo nights at the Legion and in Nictaux. Mom's favorite pastime was knitting and she loved to have her family visits where she would offer tea and a little cookie or two. That was the Irish in her. Dancing was a favorite as well, square dancing with the local square dancers. She loved to sing, spent much of her earlier life singing with the Tremont choir. Her son David and grandsons Stan and Corey made their way home from BC and were able to see and talk to Mom just before she passed. It was a very special time for her. As to our Mother's request, cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held at a later date in Tremont Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
