Elizabeth "Lee" Adele Robinson

Elizabeth Adele “Lee” Robinson of Meadowvale, NS beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 61.

Lee was born on January 31, 1965, in Calgary, Alberta, to Gilbert and Gloria Despins. She grew up as part of a large family and remained connected to her brothers and sisters throughout her life.

Lee met her husband, Patrick, in 1990 in Cold Lake, Alberta. They married on June 29, 1993, beginning a life together that would take them across Canada and eventually overseas.

In 1996, Lee and Patrick moved to Greenwood, Nova Scotia, where Lee quickly fell in love with the Annapolis Valley. She treasured its natural beauty, the spirit of its communities, and its pace of life. Although she missed the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, she came to appreciate the North and South Mountains that frame the Valley she called home.

Lee loved travelling and the outdoors. Fishing and golfing were favourite pastimes, and she especially enjoyed spending time surrounded by nature. An artist at heart, she often sketched landscapes and outdoor scenes, combining her love of art with her appreciation for the natural world. Music was also an important part of her life.

While living in Nova Scotia, Lee continued her education at Nova Scotia Community College, studying graphic design, applied communication arts, office information technology, and office administration. Her varied career reflected her creativity, versatility, and willingness to learn, taking her from graphic design and printing into technical support and administration.

Lee was creative, capable, independent, and straightforward. Curious by nature, she embraced a wide range of interests throughout her life. Whether fishing, golfing, sketching a landscape, listening to music, or simply enjoying the Annapolis Valley, Lee found joy in the world around her.

Lee was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Gloria Despins.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Robinson; her brother Dorian of Alberta; sister Lucille of Saskatchewan; brother Maurice of Alberta; brother Leonard of Alberta; and sister Therese of Lethbridge, Alberta, as well as extended family and friends who will remember and miss her deeply.

After more than three decades together, Patrick carries with him the memories of a life shared with Lee—from their beginnings in Alberta, to the home they found in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, and to the many places around the world their life together took them.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Dr. Amanda Smith and all the staff at VON Annapolis Valley Branch and to Janet Welton, Palliative Care Nurse and to all the Palliative Care Team for their care and compassion shown to Lee.

In accordance with Lee’s wishes, a celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, at the Royal Canadian Legion in Kingston, Nova Scotia with Rev. Wade Seymour officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Tremont Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
