Elva had a special sparkle and a zest for life. As a military wife including living in Marville, France for four years, she travelled extensively throughout Europe with her family and many special friends she met overseas. She was a beautiful ballroom dancer, tackled many of us in witty games of Scrabble with her adorable reply of 'Wuv You' when she scored well. She also played Scrabble in the Senior Games. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her book club, attending live theatre and was proud of her long standing membership of the RCAFA 107 Valley Wing. She enjoyed a variety of careers including a family ownership of the Ten Spot in New Albany, secretarial duties at the Greenwood Base, managing Village Video & Music in the Greenwood Mall with her son Fred, the University of Guelph bookstore and the The Inside Story bookstore in Greenwood. Elva loved and prided her community and all of her dear friends in the Annapolis Valley. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
