November 7, 1925 – February 7, 2016
BUTT, Ena Madeleine (Rideout) passed peacefully away in Bridgetown, N.S. on February 7, 2016 at the age of 90. She married Alex Butt in 1949, whom she met in the choir at Gower Street United Church. She was an active member of her local church and spent many hours in local volunteer services. Ena was a talented artist who particularly enjoyed oil, pastel and water colour painting. Her musical talents on the piano always made for a great time at social gatherings and her beautiful soprano voice was put to good use with many church choirs, most recently with Fairview United. En a was much loved and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her children, Kenneth (Karen) St. John's, NL, Jim (Colleen) Middleton, N.S and Barbara Schmidt, White Rock, B.C., grandchildren: Jennifer (Aaron) Higdon, Jonathan (Rachelle), Jayme Lynn (Noah), Julianne, Jesse (Julia), Suzanne Schmidt (Andrew), Madeleine Schmidt (Adam), Levon Schmidt and great-grandchildren: Xavier Butt, Arianna and Kiarra Higdon, Zoey Sturgess and Alex Butt along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alex, by infant son Edward and son-in-law David Schmidt. Cremation has taken place.
