Obituary

BRANNON (Woodworth), Erdeena Louise ~ Age 81, of Somerset Kings County, passed away at home surrounded by love on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. She was the youngest daughter of the late Kenneth and Thelma (Ward) Woodworth of Somerset. An amazing spouse, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, everyone knew Erdeena to be one of the most selfless and caring individuals around. Her countless hours volunteering and endless generosity and kindness she spread wherever she went, was testament to the huge heart she had and genuine love she shared for her community. She could often be found at the Berwick United Church singing with the choir or helping organize the next event with the ladies of the UCW. In the warmer months, she could always be found covered in dirt, digging in her garden with her beloved plants (especially her geraniums and glads). While her veggie garden decreased in size over the years, the war she waged with those dreaded weeds never ceased. Erdeena's joy of gardening was only rivalled by her true love, family. She taught us that family is everything and her love for her parents, siblings and children shone bright in her eyes. With every addition to our family, we knew there would be an endless supply of hugs and kisses waiting for her to share. Her babies gave her a joy like no other. We will all miss her more than words can say. Erdeena is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Mike), Berwick; sons, Scott (Wendi), Edmonton, AB and Kenneth (Sarah), Nauwigewauk, NB; brother, Charles (Betty), Kentville; sister-in-law, Marjorie, Berwick; grandchildren, Sean, Holly, Heather (Rob), Corey (Vicki), Christopher (Brittany), Haley, Ben and Sophie; great grandchildren, Jackson, Weston, Tanner and Liam; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Erdeena was predeceased by her husband, George; and her sister, Phyllis (Rex) Guy. We wish to thank the Palliative Care team and Victorian Order of Nurses with special thanks to Dr. Carly McClellan and Palliative care nurse Janet. Your kindness and compassion during this time was greatly appreciated.  Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service took place at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Berwick Cemetery, Main Street, Berwick, with Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. We request no flowers. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society or Berwick United Church in Erdeena's name would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Online guestbook may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
