Eric started his work career back in the early 1950's working at M.W. Graves Ltd. (Cobi Foods), Berwick. Then worked his way up to having his own business after buying his first truck that grew into a well known business, E.F.R. Disposal, which he ran successfully until 1999, when he sold the business. Soon after Eric started a new business, Rhodenizer Salvage, which is still being run today by sons, Darin and Kevin. He worked night and day to support his large family, whom he loved with all his heart. Eric helped a lot of people that needed help, as long as he knew they were trying hard to get ahead. Anyone that knew Eric realized he could be hardheaded and was known as "The Boss" who worked hard and always knew how to make a dollar somewhere. His persistence paid off and that is what made his business a success, along with the love and support from his wife. A graveside service for both Barbara and Eric for family and close friends will take place at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 27, 2025 in the Berwick Cemetery, with Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or to Burlington Community Club.
