SLAUENWHITE, Eric James -68 of Nictaux, formerly of Lawrencetown, NS, passed away Monday 15, 2010. Born in Kentville, NS, he was a son of the late Cecil J. and Florence Rose (Hartlen) Slauenwhite. Eric was a long time member of the Lawrencetown & District Volunteer Fire Department. He had been a partner in the family automotive business C. J. Slauenwhite Ltd. and retired after 20 years as the Superintendent of Works for the Village of Lawrencetown. Eric is survived by sons, Derrick, Halifax; Chris (Darcy), Carleton Corner; Michael (Catherine Bent), Lawrencetown; sister, Diana (Don) Hirtle, Waverley, NS; Paul (Pauline) and Alan (Eileen) both of Lawrencetown; granddaughters, Hope and Jenny and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, the former, Marjorie Ann Morgan and brother, John. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, November 18, 2010 in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown with Pastor Patty Beals officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Charity of Choice.
