Welin, Eric L. ~ 81 of Berwick passed away peacefully in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, NS on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Born in Timmins, ON, he was the son of the late Henry and Leila (Pitt) Welin.

Eric joined the RCAF in 1960 and immensely enjoyed his career for 38 years. He was a metal technician and later remustered to Airborne Electronic Sensor Officer. In addition to many postings in Canada he was posted to Germany, France and Florida. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1998.

In addition to his wife Margaret, he is survived by his son David (Maryanne), Carcross YT; daughters Nancy Welin (Guy Laframboise), The Pas, Manitoba; and Susan Blamire (Brian), Cumberland BC; grandchildren, Tina Lightfoot, Nicole and Kevin Welin, Hannah and Eric Blamire; brother Brian; brother-in-law Kendall Dukeshire and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents; sister and brother-in-law Sue and Sonny Burke; sister Diane Dukeshire; brother Dwight, and nephew Shane.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of Valley Regional Hospital Med B and Med B Extension for Eric's care over the past eight months.

Cremation has taken place and as per Eric's request there will not be any visitation or service.
