BURBIDGE, Ervin Edward-78 of Brickton passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at home. Born in Brickton, he was a son of the late Norman and Alma (Banks) Burbidge. Ervin was employed as a heavy equipment operator at 14 Wing Greenwood. He loved animals and enjoyed spending time with his best friend, his black lab Jake. He enjoyed working on old cars and helping out his family. Ervin is survived by his daughter, Michelle Phelan, Bridgetown; sons, Richard Patterson, Edmonton, Steve (Marsha) Burbidge and Mark Burbidge, both of Brickton; sisters, Kathleen (Les) Hake, Brickton; Hazel Clark, Bridgetown; brothers, Karl (Jennifer) Burbidge, Brickton; Frank (Marjorie) Burbidge, Bridgewater; Aubrey Burbidge, Yarmouth and grandchildren, Sarah, Conor, Riley, Melissa and Rebecca. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Minnie, Claire and Elva; brothers, Burpee, Charlie, Ralph, Stanley, Stewart, and Arnold in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:30PM Sunday, April 28, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448, with Rev. Danny Smith officiating.
