Gesner, Ethel Mae Age 83, of Kingston, passed away in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton on Saturday, May 03, 2014. Ethel grew up in Kingston, and as a young woman worked at the Target for Today Diner in Kingston and also at CFB Greenwood. Ethel loved nature and spent many hours at camp, fishing, and exploring the Fundy shoreline. She enjoyed many a visit to Oaklawn Farm, and was mother to an untold number of cats over the years. Ethel had a passion for Bingo, and was an avid sports fan who followed football, hockey, and baseball all of her life. Ethel will be greatly missed by her brother Harold Conrad of Bridgewater, and by many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband James (Bud) Gesner, her father Arthur Conrad, mother Grace (Warner) Conrad, and a brother Franklyn who died in infancy. By her own request there will be no visitation or service. Private interment will take place in the North Kingston Cemetery. A reception in her honor will be held at the Kingston and District Fire Hall on Tuesday, May 6th, 2014 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Ethel was generous of spirit and gave annually to many causes.
