Obituary

RICE, Etta Victoria-82 of Kingston, NS passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Milton, Queens County, she was a daughter of the late Ayrus and Thelma "Dean" (Anthony) Wentzell. Etta was formerly employed with Best Yeast and then with Steadman Stores in Middleton and as manager in Berwick, Wolfville and Kingston. Later retiring from Wades Food Store, Kingston. She was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting. Etta is survived by brother, Ayrus Wentzell, Angus, ON; sisters, Mary (Cyril) McCormick, Halifax; Joan Wolfe, Lakeside, Halifax County, NS; Frances Wentzell (husband, Bill Hunt), Summerland, BC; nieces, Karen and Debbie; nephew, Gary; great - nephews, Greg, Neil and Daniel; great- niece, Allison and great great-niece, Brianna. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Maurice; step-father, Virgil Fancy; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wentzell; brother-in-law, Roger Wolfe and niece, Kim Mills. The funeral service will be held 11:00AM, Monday, September 17, 2012 in the Kingston United Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River.
