Born September 22, 1944, Middleton, NS. Died September 16, 2016, Oliver, BC. Predeceased by his parents, Helena and Everett Best, and brother, Gordon. Dearly loved by his wife, Carol; daughter, Holly; (Greg) and grandson Henry, Toronto, ON; and his son, Nathan (Suzanne), and granddaughter, Ailyn, Vancouver, BC. Cherished by sisters, Maxine Whynot (Donald), Windsor, NS, Ethel Bramston, Burlington, ON, Mary Redden, Dartmouth, NS, and Anna Richards (Bill), Windsor, NS; sisters-in-law Janet Prime, St. Catharines, ON, and Kathryn Hedegard, Estevan, SK; as well many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. After joining the RCMP at the age of 19, he and his family enjoyed postings in SK, Depot Division Regina, NS, and the Yukon. Sadly, after a life of perfect health, he was felled by cancer. Hiking was a passion and the Sonoran Desert was his choice location. He will be forever missed. No service by request.
