WALSH, Eugene Vernon – Age 90, of East Margaretsville, Annapolis Co., passed away suddenly on November 10, 2021, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on December 16, 1930, N.B., he was the son of late William and Annette "Edith" (Keating) Walsh. For over 60 years Eugene was a passionate Chartered Accountant, often found helping friends and his community with their many tax related questions. He was a valuable legion member of Branch 098 of Kingston, Nova Scotia who volunteered much of his time and enjoyed many round table discussions over a draft or two with the locals. His life mantra was to live with what he considered the "top 3 virtues of humanity". Compassion, sympathy and the greatest of which he called Humility. Eugene always put others before him and acted with such a low preoccupation of self that left him grounded in his thoughts that he was always here to service others and to listen with an open mind. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom – Proverbs 11:2. He will be deeply missed by his surviving daughters, Laura Marcotte and Verna Fazzari; and sons, Mark Walsh and Joseph Walsh. Along with his parents and his beloved wife, Myrtle Walsh (Downie), he was predeceased by his sons, Terry, Paul and Bradley Walsh.
