Barton, Eunice Alberta – 81, of Middleton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on July 24, 1943, in Chipman, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Lenna (Bishop) Barton In 1963, she graduated from United Pentecostal Bible Institute (now known as North Eastern Christian College, Fredericton, NB. After graduating Eunice spent a year in NFLD and then came to live in Middleton, NS. Eunice was a nurse's aide at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton and went on to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) diploma, now called Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She was a Public Health Nurse until her retirement. Surviving are sisters, Lorraine Lewis, Chipman, NB; Carolyn (Charlie) Hutchins, Cumberland Bay, NB; brother, Calvin (Kathy) Barton, Angus, ON; nieces, Beverly (Michael) Bishop, Minto, NB; Shelley (Billy) Golden, Sussex, NB; nephew, Brian (Andrea) Hutchins, Cumberland Bay, NB. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Arnold Bishop. Visitation will be held 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 27, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. all in the United Pentecostal Church, Middleton. Rev. Ryan Shephard and Rev. Dean Dickinson officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Donations in memory of Eunice may be made to the United Pentecostal Church.
