SCOTNEY, Eva Diana ~ Age 70 of Middleton, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Nellie (Bishop) Murphy. Eva liked to watch game shows, wrestling and darts on TV. She also volunteered with the Children's Wish Foundation for many years. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Raymond) Hatfield; sons, George Bent, Matthew (Jennifer) Bent; sister, Sherry-Ann Veinot; brothers, Peter Murphy, Percy (Karen) Murphy; grandchildren, Alicia Hatfield, Mike (Meghan Carree) Hatfield and Jeremy Hatfield. Besides her parents she was predeceased by Lucky, her faithful friend of 16 years. Eva's family would like to thank the incredible staff at Valley Hospice for all the kindness and support while she was in their care. A graveside service will take place at 11:00am on May 25, 2024, in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow at the Weston Community Hall from 12:30pm-2:30pm.
