Obituary

MORSE, Evangeline, "Vange" Janette - age 90 of Nictaux, NS passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Brickton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Taylor) Solsman. Vange loved life. Always ready with a joke and for a laugh. She always had time to stop and chat to see how you were and to ask about those you love. Vange worked in her early years as a telephone operator, then for many years at AJ Mitchells Grocery .After raising her family, she went back to work at Middleton Save Easy. Vange and Don were always on the go. Square Dancing was a big part of their early years. They shared a love of their special place, Trout Lake and spent their retirement years living there. They enjoyed their lake friends and family, spending many hours playing cribbage, fishing, ATV's and snow mobiling. In later years Vange moved back to Nictaux, became a member of the Nictaux Baptist Friendly Club, Nictaux Firettes and a Red Hatter. She truly enjoyed her social events with "The Girls" including the trips to Fox Mountain and all the "Jam Sessions". Her Sunday drives with John were the highlight of her week. Vange also loved to feed people, but also enjoyed going for tea or poutine with Phyllis. Above all she had a deep love and pride of her five grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. Vange is survived by her daughter Ann (Jim) Veinot, Nictaux; son Ron (Donna) Morse, Surrey, BC; grandchildren, Brad and Brent Veinot, Kimberly (Kyle) Stone, Sandra and Evan Morse and her good friend, John Sherman. She was predeceased by husband Don, sister, Margaret; brothers, George, Chester "Ted" and Maurice. In keeping with Vange's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2PM, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating.
