Obituary

HUBLEY, Evelyn-89 of Torbrook, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England, she was a daughter of the late William John and Frances (MacLaren) Simpson. During the Second World War, Evelyn worked in the Royal Ordinance Factory, Chorley, England and also at St. Bernards Nerve and Mental Health Hospital, South Hall, England. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and loved children and animals. She is survived by daughters, Valerie Stocks, Whitby, ON; Susan Farmer, Torbrook; sons, Kenneth, Middleton and Kevin, Torbrook; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clayton; brother, William and infant son, Michael. Visitation will be held 7-9PM, Sunday, October 17, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. The funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Monday, October 18, 2010 in St. Marys Anglican Church, Auburn, with Father Charles Bull officiating. Interment will take place in St. Marys Anglican Cemetery, Auburn. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
