WOOD, Evelyn Alberta age 80 of Port George passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at home. Born in Port George, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lucy (Spidell) North. Evelyn was actively involved in her community, in particular the Annapolis County Exhibition and the Port George Recreation Center. She enjoyed camping, jam sessions and gardening and was always very supportive of her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 60 years Murray Wood, Port George; daughter Wanda Wood (Chris), Quebec; sons Doug North (Jane Hudson), Port George, Jim (Roberta) Wood, Inglisville; Philip (Lisa) Wood, Leonard Road, Annapolis County; Paul (Carolyn) Wood, Lawrencetown and Robin Wood (Susan Bozec) Middleton; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Stanley; sister, Blanche and brother-in-law, Neil; sister, Helen and brother -in-law, Bill; granddaughter Ashley and daughter-in-law, Connie. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Monday, April 20, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Port George. A reception for family and friends will be held in the Port George Recreation Center following the service.
