WILLIAMS, Evelyne Doreata May - 87, Meadowvale, Annapolis Co., passed away on May 25, 2011 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton, NS. Born in Kingston, Ontario, Evelyne is survived by her 6 children and their spouses, David (Barb) Williams, Wilmot, NS; Donald (Lynn) Williams, Moncton, NB; Patricia (John) Phillips, Greenwood, NS; Richard (Judith Heather) Williams, Gabriola Island, BC; Gary (Cindi) Williams, Edmonton, AB and Julie (Williams) Wilson. Evelyne was predeceased by her husband Frederick Earle Williams, parents Hartley and Blanche Chater, and siblings Grace and Austin. She was the matriarch of a large family including her 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Evelynes lifelong friend and pen pal Ruth Ernst kept in touch with her for 83 years. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She loved feeding her birds, gardening, reading, and she inspired her children and family to learn from the world through inquisitive eyes.
