Obituary

DUNHAM, Everett Burton – age 78, Kentville, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Black Rock, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Hollis B. and Lillian M. (Knockwood) Dunham. Everett was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch No. 69, Berwick. He had been employed at A.C.A. Co-Operative Limited, New Minas, Town of Kentville and retired from Roscoe Construction Limited, Cambridge. Everett loved to dance and attend the local jam sessions. Surviving are his companion, Vivian Brown, Centreville; sons, Tim (Lynda), Cambridge; Michael (Maryanne), Long Point Mountain; daughter-in-law, Patsy, Waterville; grandchildren, Jerette, Nicholas, James and Makayla; brother, Murray (Sally), Windermere; sister, Helen Dykens, Wolfville/Berwick; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Evelyn R. Whiston; son, Jerry; grandson, Jeremiah in infancy; brother, Ronald; sister, Stella Jordan. There will be no visitation. Memorial service followed by a reception will take place at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 26, in Cambridge United Baptist Church, 5981 Hwy No. 1, Cambridge. Rev. Darryl Dykens officiating, with interment in the Berwick Cemetery, at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Arthritis Society – Nova Scotia Division or to the Cambridge United Baptist Church.
