Obituary

FRASER, Everett Victor – age 94 of Greenwood formerly of Inglisville, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in the Veteran's Unit at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Steam Mill, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Etta (Bennett) Fraser. Everett was raised in Scot's Bay. He joined the Canadian Army in 1939 and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers. Everett later worked in Ontario before retiring to Nova Scotia. He is survived by his wife Bessie Fraser, Greenwood; daughters, Diane Yearns, Maryland and Cheryl (Gerald) Scoplin, Newfoundland; stepdaughter, Debbie Hines (Patrick Tamlyn), Greenwood; stepgrandson, Billy Solsman (Stephani Squigna), Nictaux; son, Victor, of Thunder Bay; sister, Evelyn Shaw, Middleton and several grandchildren and great grandchildren in Thunder Bay, ON. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, the former Florence McKee, sons, Edward and Douglas; sisters, Eileen, Marjorie and Dorothy; brothers, Ralph, Wesley, Maynard, Vernon, Earl and George in infancy. At Everett's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, March 24, 2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in the Pereaux Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Inglisville Baptist Church.
