GREENE, Everett Charles age 69 of Meadowvale, NS passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 22, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in Plympton, NS, he was the son of the late Clifford and Nina (Sabean) Greene. Everett worked on the gypsum boats in Hantsport/Windsor area, and also as a scallop fisherman. He worked as a Stationary Engineer for 20 years at CFB Greenwood. Everett enjoyed carpentry and country/bluegrass music. He enjoyed having a few beers and playing guitar with friends and loved attending the Bluegrass festivals each summer. Everett is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pearl Taylor of Meadowvale, son Robert, Kentville; daughter Shelley, Meadowvale, Lana, Aylesford; 2 grandchildren Chad Bruce, Coldbrook, Kayla Bruce, Kentville and sister, Gayle Boutlier, Halifax, NS. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by half- brother Ed Doucette, Plympton and son Darrell Greene, Meadowvale. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 26, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902)825-3448 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating.
