Obituary

SCHOFIELD, Everett Eugene – age 57, New Minas, formerly of Waterville, Kings Co., passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017, in Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born on August 21, 1960, in Berwick, he was a son of Eugene W. Schofield, Waterville, and the late Juanita F. (Lightfoot) Schofield. Everett was devoted to his family and friends and enjoyed time spent playing golf and baseball. He was a sales associate at Home Depot, New Minas and formerly at Nothing Fancy, New Minas. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife of 18 years, Debbie L. Hohn; son, Chad (Melissa) Schofield, Sackville; sister, Donna (Wayne) Johnstone, Waterville; sister-in-law, Angie Keddy, Waterville; two step-children; two step-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by brother, David Schofield. There will be no visitation. Graveside service will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, November 10, in Cambridge Cemetery, with Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Valley Regional Hospital Foundation, Kentville, or Waterville & District Volunteer Fire Department.
