BALOGH, Ferne Olga - age 85 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Springfield, NS, Ferne was the daughter of the late Stephen and Marguerite (Burns) DeMone. She was a retired waitress and worked at the Shaker Restaurant, Shelly's Canteen and 14 years at Strato's Restaurant in Dartmouth. Ferne loved music and was an avid country music fan and musician. She played at the Maritime Farmers Barn Dance in Saint John. She was a faithful member of Bethel United Baptist Church in Dartmouth. Ferne is survived by her husband Joseph; nieces Bonnie, Sharon and Marnie; nephews Darrell and Jamie. She was predeceased by sister Harmonia and brother Spurlen. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1 (855) 825-3448 with Rev.
