OLTEAN, Flora – age 94, of Middleton, NS passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal, NS. Born in Markinch, Saskatchewan, she was a daughter of the late Ion and Susanna (Despa) Oltean. Flora was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Flora loved all animals, but especially cuddling her cat "Maya". She was always happiest when in the field picking blueberries. Flora will be sadly missed by her daughters Sharlaine "Lainie" (El Wildman) Rhyndress of Peterborough, ON; Marilyn Rhyndress of Halifax; Barbara Rhyndress of New Ross; Dolores (Barry) Eisner of Chester Basin; Catherine (Wayne) McDow of New Ross; Beverly (Jim) Clark of Dartmouth; Laura Rhyndress of Halifax; Patricia McNeil of Toronto; Christine (Ricardo) Sanchez Pillot of Calgary; Valerie Rhyndress of Middleton; Michelle (Derek) Stewart of Dartmouth; sons John (Linn) Rhyndress of Cornwall, ON; Donald Rhyndress of Maitland; Robert Rhyndress of Middleton and William (Angie) Rhyndress of Orem, Utah, USA and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Flora was predeceased by her husband Mervin Rhyndress; sisters Mary, Christina "Tina", Helen and Annie; brothers Dan, John, Nick, George, Bill, Dean, Alex and Elia "Leo". In keeping with Flora's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2017 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448 with President Jason Wade officiating.
