Gordon, Florence Marie - Age 77 of South Tremont Kings County passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at her beloved home. Born on July 2, 1946 in Berwick, Kings County, she was the daughter of the late Bertram H. and Donna M. (Marshall) Morse.

Florence had a zest for life and enjoyed the outdoors whether it was for her daily walk, working in the garden, mowing the lawn, putting in her firewood or off on an adventure touring the countryside.

Florence had many interests and was an active member in her community. She was a long time member of the Harmony Baptist Church and a long time volunteer at the Tremont World Fair. She also enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Fundy Squares.

Florence's door was always open and she made all visitors feel welcome. She loved the simple life and thrived in her small community where she knew all her neighbours and made many lifetime friends.

Although Florence had no children of her own, she loved all children and was a favourite babysitter for family and friends alike. She had a huge impact on many young lives and will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Surviving are her sister Rose Oickle, Meadowvale; brothers, Harlen (Gail) Morse, British Columbia; Raymond (Vicky) Morse, Greenwood; Doug (Sharon) Morse, Harmony; Vance (Lorraine) Morse, Tremont; brothers-in-law, George (Doreen) Noble, Wilmot; Blair Banks, Spa Springs; sister-in-law Margaret Morse, Harmony; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald E. Gordon; sisters, Ardith Noble, Joyce Robar, Winnifred Banks, Cheryl Hubley; brother Donald Morse; brothers-in-law, Ellis Gordon, George Charlton, Walter "Sonny" Robar, Arnold Oickle; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Stewart) Dolliver, Sheila Morse; nephew David Morse; and great niece Abby Harris.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16th in Harmony Baptist Church (992 Harmony Rd, Kingston NS) with a reception immediately after at the Harmony Hall. A private family interment will be held in the "Old" Tremont Cemetery (640 Tremont Mountain Road, Kingston) following the Celebration of Life. By request, family flowers only.
