WESTCOTT, Florence Bertha - 72 of Kingston, (formally from C.B.S. NL) passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 with her loving granddaughter, Gillian at her bedside holding her hand in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland she was a daughter of the late Henry J. Haggett and Mary (Crews) Haggett. Florence always had a smile on her face & a song in her heart. She enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren, & all babies. Her spiritual cardigan wrapped her family & friends so gently in her warmth. Florence did not consider that she had a disability, it never kept her from accomplishing what she had in her mind to do. Florence enjoyed a game of bingo. She loved to shop til she dropped. For Florence there were no limitations certainly not in the love she had for her grandchildren or the smile she always had on her face. We will not soon forget her love of life. She touched our lives in so many ways & laughter was abound in her presence. Florence is survived by her husband Victor; daughter Geralyn (Keith) Howell, Kingston; son David (Brenda) Westcott, Manuels, C.B.S. Newfoundland. Grandchildren, Gillian Howell, Jimmy Westcott and Ashley Westcott. Sisters Joan Rose, Loretta Haggett, Cynthia Mercer, Pearl (Edward) Hussey, Glenda (Allen) Dawe, Gloria (Don) Janes. She was predeceased by her baby sister Linda Butler and brothers David Haggett and William Haggett. Also many many neices & nephews who loved Aunt Floss. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7 - 9 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home , 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where a memorial service will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, December 10, 2011with Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiating. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston at a later date. By request, family flowers only.
