Obituary

MACMILLAN, Floyd Bayne-79 of Greenwood passed away April 7, 2016 at Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville.  Floyd was born in the Isaac's Harbour lighthouse, the youngest child of the late John and Dora (Smith) MacMillan.  He served in the RCAF from 1956 until retiring in 1986, followed by doing aircraft repairs at the Waterville Airport. He had an extensive Masonic career, serving as Secretary and Master of Markland Lodge #99 Kingston; Royal Arch Masons, Valley Chapter #16 Middleton and Mount Zion Perceptory Kentville and also belonged to the Shriners.  Floyd is survived by his wife Dianne (Smith); sons, Floyd Merven (Sharon); Peter and Blaine; stepdaughter, Deborah (Charles) Miles; stepsons, Trent and Trevor (Tammy); two granddaughters, eight step grandchildren, one great granddaughter; brother, John (Pauline); sister, Betty Merrithew; sister-in-law, Loretta MacMillan; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brother, Ernest; niece, Lucinda; brother-in-law, George.  Cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, April 14, 2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825- 3448 with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating.  Interment will be in the North Kingston Cemetery.  By request, family flowers only.  Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.  Online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
