Bright, Frances ~ 71 of Kingston, NS passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Cartwright, NL, on February 16, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Medrick Gaudet and Stella (Coombs) Cooke.

Frances was employed with The North West Company for 33 years and worked all over Northern Canada. She enjoyed travelling, making a trip to Europe. Frances and Thomas came to Kingston 7 years ago and made it their home. Frances loved her grandchildren very much. She also loved gardening, flowers, and shopping.

Frances is survived by her husband of 29 years, Thomas; son, Gregory (Sara), Edmonton, AB; daughter, Lisa (Tom), Bastrop, TX; grandchildren, Brooke and Ryan; brothers, Tom (Darlene), Paul, Keith (Dee), and Wayne (Paula) Cooke; sisters, Rose Gaudet, Mary Ann (Stephen) Power; several nieces and nephews; as well as former spouse of 22 years and father of her children, Rick Whitehouse. Besides her parents, Frances is predeceased by her dad, Mansell Cooke; grandparents, Thomas and Blanche Coombs; sister-in-law, Jean Cooke (Paul)

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Donations in her memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Valley Regional Hospital Foundation.
