Obituary

Burns, Frances Louise – 85, of Middleton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie Mae Wamboldt. Frances worked at Eisner's Restaurant making pies. She then became known at Sweet's Forever for her homemade breads, pies, and cookies. She also worked at den Hann's Nursery. Frances was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Nictaux Firettes, Middleton Fireflies, I.O.D.E, and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No.1, Middleton. In addition to her wonderful baking, Frances enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends as well as her four-legged companions. Surviving is her companion Louis Muise; daughters Terry, Marcia (David), Ginny (Marc), sons Peter (Susan), Adam (Marcy); grandchildren Pam (Jason), Mary, Holly (Tony), Lauren, Hudson, Harper; great grandchildren Alexis, Sarah, Landon, Lennox; nieces Christine, Shirley, Johnny, and Audrey; extended family Ricky (Michelle), Nancy, Sherry, Jeanette (Stewart), Donna (Angelo), Linda (Keith), Lottie, Anne Marie, Ruth, Dora, Flo, and Thomas. Frances had a sister at heart, Marion Garber and she treasured this friendship dearly. Special mention of Daine and Sheryl Berringer and Sharon. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John W. Burns; daughter Cindy; sister Mona (Carman) Hebb; brother Donald Wamboldt; nephews Frank and David Hebb; cousin Wilda Berringer; sons-in-law Brad Potts "Mr. P." and Sheldon Nichols; extended family Remmy and Heather. To my six children: I love you all and always love your hugs and kisses. To my grandchildren and great grandchildren: You fill my heart "love you all." There will be a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 902-825-3448 with Rev. Elizabeth Amirault officiating. A reception will follow the service. All are welcome. Donations in memory may be made to Nictaux and District Fire Hall, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of choice.
