CAREY, Frances Gertrude - It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Frances Gertrude Carey. She passed away at her home surrounded by her family in Kingston, Kings County on July 3, 2014. Frances was born May 5, 1919 in Fraxville, Lunenburg County, the daughter of James William (Will) and Annie (Saltzman) Turner. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Frances will always be remembered by those who loved her as a kind and gentle soul. She was the foundation that bonded the family with her never ending love. Her door was always open for family and friends and always made room for anyone around her table. She is survived by 10 of her 11 children. Her sons, Glenn (Bernadette) Carey, Pleasantville; Robert (Brigid) Carey, Bridgewater; Wayne (Gail) Carey, Melvern Square and Wendell (Bunny) Carey, Sebec Village Rd, Maine. Her daughters, Bernice (Robert) Corkum, Auburndale; Joan (Waldon) Banks, Meadowvale Rd; Valerie Carey (Gerald Ryerson), Halifax; Linda (William) Carey-Reese, Nictaux; Bonnah Carey, Fort McMurray, Alberta; Debra Carey, Wilmot. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Glenn Carey in September 1985; her son, LaVerne Howard Carey in May 2012 and two grandchildren in infancy; also predeceased by her two brothers, Ervin Turner and one in infancy and five sisters, Carrie Dill/Wile; Matilda Herget/Pitt; Sadie Daniel; Gladys Isenor and Pansy Bezanson. On personal request by Frances, there will be no visiting hours. Funeral service will be held 1:00PM, Sunday, July 6, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Julia Howard officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Community Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to a Charity of Choice.
