FEINDEL (Oickle) Frances Lucille -Age 88 of Berwick/Aylesford passed away at Grand View Manor on Friday, July 7, 2017. Born April 24, 1929 in Branch LaHave, she was the youngest daughter of the late Pearlie Gordon and Mabel Guida (Veinot) Oickle. She was an active member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn, N.S., where at various times she was a member of the choir, ACW, Parish Council, visiting ministry, altar guild and Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of Woodbine Rebekah Lodge, #53, of Upper LaHave. For over 40 years, Frances canvassed for the Canadian Cancer Society and received a certificate for her service. Surviving are her daughters, Cherlynn (Ian) Atkins, Bedford; Elizabeth (Joe) Sullivan, Newbrook, AB, and Enfield; son David (Dorothy Amankwah) Feindel, St. Albert, AB; much loved grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tammy Calvesbert) Atkins, Bedford; Jennifer (Todd James) Atkins, Smithers, BC; Ariel (Trevor Sim) Feindel, Regina, SK; William Feindel, Regina, SK; Ian Feindel, St. Albert, AB; Step-granddaughter: Erin Sullivan, Enfield. Beloved great-grandsons, Keegan and Brody Atkins, Bedford and beloved great-granddaughter Everly Feindel, Regina, SK. Also several nieces and nephews whom she loved. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William (Billy) Feindel in 1971; her partner, Randall Myrick, in 2012; her much loved in-laws, Earl & Ella Feindel; her sisters, Margaret Smith and Phyllis Oickle and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks go to Laurie Armstrong for her support and help with Mom over the past few years and to Dr. Peter Goddard for his care and concern for Mom. A huge THANK YOU goes to the staff of Grand View Manor; especially to Dana, who loved and was loved by Mom and who went above and beyond in her care of her! Many thanks also to the amazing, dedicated staff on Winslow unit for their exceptional love and care and who always made Mom"feel like a Queen"! And finally, to the wonderful staff on the Franey unit, who were so attentive to Mom and her family during her final week! Our sincere thanks and appreciation to all! Family flowers only please. A visitation will be held 12:00 - 1:00 PM, Friday, July 14, 2017 at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn followed at 2:00 PM by a funeral service officiated by Rev. Mel Malton. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Aylesford Union Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to Grand View Manor, Winslow Unit or St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn, NS. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
