Obituary

HATT, Frances Louise (Durling) - 84 of Melvern Square, passed away at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Born in Springfield, NS, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Lloyd Durling and the late Dorothy Louise Durling (Saltzman) of Springfield. She enjoyed working outdoors on the farm, knitting, puzzles, crocheting, music and her flower gardens. Frances was hospitable and enjoyed having her hands in the "dough dish." She was an adherent of Faith Baptist Church, Greenwood Village. She is survived by daughter, Linda (David) Kendall, Kingston; son, Cameron (Linda) Hatt, Melvern Square; grandson, Nathan Kendall, Wilmot; granddaughters, Rebecca (Jamie) Lightfoot, Wilmot; Rachel and Esther Hatt both of Melvern Square. She is also survived by brothers, Douglas (Agnes), Dartmouth; Russell, Port Lorne; Emery, Springfield; Basil (Helen), Bridgewater; James (Betty), Falkland Ridge; Charles (Alice) Barss Corner and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Corey Hatt and an infant brother, Lawrence. By request, there will be no formal visitation, but family and friends are invited to sign the Memorial Book at the Middleton Funeral Home. 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. A Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, October 22, 2011 in the Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square with Rev. Dr. William J. Moorehead officiating. Donations in memory may be made to Faith Baptist Church; Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association.
