ADSETT, Frank Bursey ~ age 86, of Meadowvale, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Bertha (Bursey) Adsett. Known for his humor and quick wit, Frank was a terrific salesman and started his career with Quaker Oats, then later operated his own business, F.B. Adsett Dry Goods Ltd. for many years. He loved the Lord and was an adherent of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Melvern Square for 60 years. Over the years, he taught Sunday School, and led the Adult Bible Study. Frank loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He grew beautiful flowers and would bring cut roses into the house for his Sweetie. Frank fed the birds daily and had the chipmunks eating out of his hand. He enjoyed being at home and spending time gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Veronica; daughter, Katherine (Clinton) Carter, Enfield; sons, Stephen (Sylvie) Adsett, Dieppe, NB; Scott Adsett (Jan Cole), Kingston; sister, Lois Burge, Florida and grandchildren, Cody Adsett, Camryn Carter, Marie-Pier Fritz, and Gabrielle Lavoie, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM Monday, March 13, 2023, in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, March 14, 2022, with Rev. Bruce Kaiser officiating. Interment will be in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square. Donations in memory may be made to the Blomidon Bible Camp, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
