PAUZÉ, Frank P. “Bud” of Berwick, Kings Co., N.S.
I came into this world in Halifax, Nova Scotia on January 5, 1938, and left it on May 22, 2026.
Son of Georges Ivano Pauzé and Anne Josephine (Brown) Pauzé, brother to Jeannette (Yetman) and Sharon (Nelson), now all of us deceased. See you all soon! Love to all my nieces and nephew.
Got a partial education in Halifax Schools Alexander McKay and St. Pat’s; and finished my life in studies outside the Academic World.
A life-long adherent of the Church of the “Golden Rule”.
I owe a sincere vote of thanks to my long-time employer Canada Immigration (35 years) for having provided me the opportunity of seeing so much of the world during secondments to New York, Boston, Hong Kong, Seoul Korea (three years) and Manila, Philippines (two years).
Another vote of thanks to my wife Wendy (Hayden) Pauzé for having put up with me these past 38 years. She made my tours overseas the more enjoyable by being with me. We took advantage of having been in the far East by visiting New Zealand (four times), Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore, together. Many great memories and contentment over the years.
Never had children of my own but watching Wendy’s son, Patrick Bourgeois grow up was compensation I never dreamed of having. Patrick visited us during our tours overseas and we became close, and more so, after Wendy and I returned to Canada in 1992. I eventually inherited four wonderful grandchildren when Patrick teamed up with Tara Browne! Emily, Paige and Braden Browne-Bourgeois and Alexandra Nasadyk, I loved you dearly and I know you will all accomplish great things in your lives. I also very much enjoyed my Hayden brothers-in-law and their progeny. You are all part and parcel to the family I never thought to have had.
Someone once said that “death is nature’s way of telling you to slow down” so I have come to a dead stop. See you on the other side! Feel free to lift a glass whether in rejoice or sadness at my passing. I’d have done the same for you.
At Bud’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will occur at the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in Bud’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Canada, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448. Online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
